There’s not much to say about us. We like to run, especially on trails and up mountains. We like to talk about running, especially about trail and mountain running. We like finding out about the best places and races to run in the Northeast and sharing that information with other runners. In short, we want to help people find all the adventures waiting for them outside their front doors. Please feel free to contact us with ideas, suggestions, or glowing feedback.
The people behind Far North:
Amos Esty is an editor and cofounder of Far North. He was inspired to start the website when he couldn’t find a good calendar of trail races in the Northeast. He often falls while running.
Emily Wynes is an editor and cofounder of Far North. Her favorite running trails are the utterly unrunnable ones. The more rocks and roots, the better. In 2013, Emily “ran” the entire 160.9-mile stretch of the Appalachian Trail in New Hampshire and wrote about the experience here.
